Zandvoort lies in the heart of one of the finest dune areas in the greater metropolitan region. On both sides of the town, large national parks begin, together offering dozens of kilometres of varied routes through dunes, woodland and along the beach. The Formula 1 circuit notwithstanding, Zandvoort is an excellent base for walkers.
